About Me

I spent my 20s in a state of chronic stress, and started to feel burnt out every few months. Through receiving complementary therapy, holistic healing and learning to meditate, I began to heal my body and mind.

The power of massage to release stress

I took a Holistic Massage Diploma with the Bristol College of Massage and Bodywork in 2010 and I’ve been in private practice since graduating.

The course was a journey of discovery that offered me the chance to express who I am in massage, so it becomes a meditation and a moment-to-moment response to what the client needs on that particular day.

It created a fascination in me with the workings of the nervous system and relaxation in all its forms. I realised how little understanding there was of this condition in the wider world; that it wasn’t ‘’all in the mind” and was a very real physical experience.

I knew I wasn’t the only one who felt this way and it ignited a passion in me to share this knowledge with others whose lives were affected by stress.

I am amazed by the power of simply being, listening to the body and being curious while I give massage. So much healing happens working in this way, releasing the underlying tensions in the body. It creates a deep sense of letting go, enabling greater ease and movement.

Other interests

Outside of offering sessions of massage in Whitchurch, I sing and write and play songs on the piano and guitar. I find so much joy in walking in nature, meditation, hanging out with family and friends, creating art and in the journey of being alive.
